ABOUT ME

HELLO YOU

I’m Angie, a journalist, writer and actor.

SO WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WRITE ABOUT?

CREATIVITY. I love finding other mothers who manage to squeeze some form of creativity into their days. Here you’ll find my documented attempts to do just that.

MOTHERHOOD. I have a son and daughter aged three and ten. I like to think I offer some form of comfort to all the mums who swear repeatedly and use sugar for positive reinforcement.

OTHER WONDERFUL HUMANS. I interview people. I ask lots of big questions like “What do you want to achieve in your lifetime?” and “What message do you most want to pass on to your children?”. Read one of my favourite interviews with Founder and CEO of First Days Children’s Charity, Emma Cantrell MBE, here.

MENTAL HEALTH: I’m always trying to find the best ways of managing my mind, from journalling to bedroom dancing to meditation. (Tricky).

PERSONAL & SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT. I’m fascinated by the idea of “fulfilling our potential” as human beings and quite what this means.
Listening to: How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast and We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle.
Reading: My Wild and Sleepless Nights by Clover Stroud and Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman.

Watching: The School of Life

BOOKS. Mostly non-fiction.

If this blog makes just one person smile; then I’ll feel it a success.

“The one thing that unites the people I know who are on satisfying and meaningful paths is that they kept trying things, kept exploring, kept pursuing new opportunities, kept searching until they discovered their ikigai. And then from there they never stop figuring it out because they understand how absolutely crucial this is in creating a life worth living.”Rob Bell, How to be Here

  1. Angie, Hi! Thanks for following my blog. It’s so hard to find other single mums out there. And a single mum who writes about fashion?! I’ve been looking for such a thing for ages. Looking forward to reading more xx
