A Vision Board Workshop with Life Fulfilment Coach Rebecca Hogan

“Envision the life you’d love to live and bring it into your reality.”

“Make a vision board” had been on my list for about two years. Vision boards were popping up everywhere; books, podcasts, my Instagram feed. I knew it was something I wanted to do, I’m a visual person and loved the idea of getting my dreams and goals down on paper in such a fun and creative away. Fast forward to last night, and I’m sat in a room full of like-minded women, munching on cake, making my very own vision board.

Hosted by Life Fulfilment Coach Rebecca Hogan at Robyn’s Nest Cafe, the Vision Board Workshop is designed to help you envision and create the life you really want.
Prior to the workshop I completed the Vision Board Course, made up of a workbook outlining how to create my board, a visualisation to help me decide what to feature on my board, a meditation, and 30 clarity coaching questions.  I particularly enjoyed the visualisation and meditation, two things I’d always been keen to implement into my daily routine that had never quite transpired. The visualisation helped me get clear on what I wanted my life to look like, and the guided meditation was beautifully grounding, full of empowering words.

I arrived at the workshop to be greeted by the wonderful Rebecca, and immediately got chatting to the other attendees. We dived straight into collecting materials for our boards, deciding on card colours and sizing. A table stood overflowing with card, magazines, post-its, quote cards, stickers and various other Vision Board ingredients. As directed, I’d prepared some bits to go on my board in advance; affirmations and big bold words cut out of Vogue.

Then the cutting and sticking commenced. I chatted to the lovely Sarah next to me, for whom this was her second workshop. Her board was noticeably more organised than mine, she had themes.
“You learn from your first board how you want to do things differently the next time,” she said.
My board was career-focused with a few nods to my personal life. I used mainly words, as I resonate most strongly with them, and a handful of imagery.
One Vision Boarder, Natalie, who’d also attended the workshop before, told me of how every single thing on her previous board had either happened, or was currently in motion. “It works!” she beamed.
From career aspirations to travel and health goals, each of us embarked on our own journey of introspection, choosing images and words that most resonated with our desires and ambitions.

A spirited evening, it was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We admired each other’s evolving boards and exchanged words of encouragement and support. Cups of tea and cake were brought round by Robyn, and I felt rather spoilt, laughing along with the women near me, having fun, being creative, all whilst gobbling up a Victoria Sponge.

Rebecca floated around the room, chatting to us individually; asking questions about our goals and offering tips for our boards. Half-way through, she gave a talk on how exactly to bring our board to life and make it all happen. This wasn’t a piece of art to stick up on a wall and forget about; this was a manifestation tool, a colourful piece of a much larger puzzle.

I loved the positive, creative energy that flowed throughout the night and the sense of community that came from making a board with a group of people, with Rebecca leading the way. The workshop provided a space for self-expression, connection, and growth, leaving us with not only a visual representation of our dreams but also a newfound sense of possibility and potential. I left that night feeling uplifted and inspired, excited to take action and bring my board to life.

“The aim is to help women take time out of their busy lives to think about what they enjoy and what they want to fit into their lives, then go home with a powerful, attractive and inspiring board that ensures they stay motivated enough to make it all happen.”
