Boxing Day: Squished but Merry

“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”
― Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

Boxing Day was very much a continuation of the joys of Christmas Day.

We had cousins and close family friends over; squeezing everyone in around our just-big-enough dining table. There was plenty of eating, drinking and present-opening. We played cards, messed around with fancy-dress moustaches, danced and generally had a hilarious afternoon/evening.
