“No occupation in this world is more trying to soul and body than the care of young children. What patience and wisdom, skill and unlimited love it calls for. God gave the work to mothers and furnished them for it, and they cannot shirk it and be guiltless.”
― Isabella MacDonald Alden

Ten minutes with my daughter playing Mrs Verinder-Gedge this afternoon…(I was cast as Mrs Verinder-Gedge in the play I’m in next year and Maia often likes to borrow Mrs VG’s glasses, I freak out that she might break them then remember they’re plastic and start taking photos..).

“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.”

― Donna Ball, At Home on Ladybug Farm

  1. So much truth in those words. I watch my baby sleep sometimes and I whisper to her how much I love her and I have the urge to kiss and hug her so tight although I do it every day. The most wonderful feeling in the world is the love for your children
